Indian benchmark indices ended higher on the second consecutive session on March 17 with Nifty above 23550. At close, the Sensex was up 567.99 points or 0.75 percent at 76,070.84, and the Nifty was up 172.35 points or 0.74 percent at 23,581.15. About 2252 shares advanced, 1820 shares declined, and 138 shares unchanged.
