Indian equity indices ended on weak note with Nifty closing just above 23,900 on September 2. At close, the Sensex was down 373.93 points or 0.49 percent at 76,570.35, and the Nifty was down 141.35 points or 0.59 percent at 23,914.45. About 1827 shares advanced, 2323 shares declined, and 191 shares unchanged.
