Indian equity indices ended on a negative note with Nifty below 23,900 on March 11. At close, the Sensex was down 1,342.27 points or 1.72 percent at 76,863.71, and the Nifty was down 394.75 points or 1.63 percent at 23,866.85. About 1807 shares advanced, 2277 shares declined, and 138 shares unchanged.
