Indian equity indices ended on a weak note with Nifty below 26,000 on December 8. At close, the Sensex was down 609.68 points or 0.71 percent at 85,102.69, and the Nifty was down 225.90 points or 0.86 percent at 25,960.55. About 824 shares advanced, 3146 shares declined, and 145 shares unchanged.
