Indian equity indices ended on strong note with Nifty above 25,650 on February 16. At close, the Sensex was up 650.39 points or 0.79 percent at 83,277.15, and the Nifty was up 211.65 points or 0.83 percent at 25,682.75. About 1676 shares advanced, 2443 shares declined, and 181 shares unchanged.
