Indian equity indices ended higher on the second consecutive day on October 6 with Nifty above 22,700. At close, the Sensex was up 685.34 points or 0.95 percent at 73,067.81, and the Nifty was up 220.35 points or 0.98 percent at 22,776.10. About 2685 shares advanced, 1495 shares declined, and 197 shares unchanged.
