Indian equity indices ended lower for the third consecutive session on January 21. At close, the Sensex was down 270.84 points or 0.33 percent at 81,909.63, and the Nifty was down 75 points or 0.30 percent at 25,157.50. About 1357 shares advanced, 2509 shares declined, and 127 shares unchanged.
