Indian equity indices ended marginally lower in the volatile session on August 14. At close, the Sensex was down 70.71 points or 0.09 percent at 78,009.25, and the Nifty was down 29.85 points or 0.12 percent at 24,366. About 1855 shares advanced, 2244 shares declined, and 174 shares unchanged.
