Indian equity indices ended on a negative note with Nifty at 25,950 on December 29. At close, the Sensex was down 345.91 points or 0.41 percent at 84,695.54, and the Nifty was down 100.2 points or 0.38 percent at 25,942.10. About 1395 shares advanced, 2595 shares declined, and 144 shares unchanged.
