Indian benchmark indices ended lower on July 22 with Nifty closing below at 24,000. At close, the Sensex was down 715.06 points or 0.92 percent at 76,755.05, and the Nifty was down 191.45 points or 0.79 percent at 23,996.25. About 1443 shares advanced, 2616 shares declined, and 170 shares unchanged.
