Indian benchmark indices ended Friday's session in the red. The Sensex fell 455.59 points, or 0.58 percent, to 78,499.17, while the Nifty declined 65.35 points, or 0.27 percent, to 24,570.65. Market breadth was negative, with 1,964 shares advancing, 2,119 declining and 184 remaining unchanged.
