Indian equity indices ended on strong note with Nifty above 26150 on December 22. At close, the Sensex was up 638.12 points or 0.77 percent at 85,567.48, and the Nifty was up 206 points or 0.79 percent at 26,172.40. About 2601 shares advanced, 1363 shares declined, and 163 shares unchanged.
