Foreign investors sold nearly Rs 60,000 crore worth of financial stocks in March as the sector came under significant pressure during the month. This accounted for around 51 percent of total FII outflows. Overall, FIIs sold more than Rs 1.17 lakh crore in Indian equities in March, marking one of the sharpest outflows in recent years.
