Shares of defence companies like Bharat Electronics (BEL), Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL), among others, rallied up to 3% on the BSE on Friday, December 26, ahead of the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) meeting scheduled later in the day. The meeting, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, is expected to discuss proposals related to emergency procurement of critical weapons and military equipment, potentially fast-tracking new orders for India’s defence sector.
