Metal stocks rallied on Thursday, with Hindalco Industries surging more than 6 percent after aluminium prices jumped on Middle East supply disruptions, lifting the Nifty Metal index over 3 percent. At 10:29 am, the Sensex was up 152 points or 0.2 percent at 79,268, while the Nifty rose 67 points to 24,547. Market breadth remained positive with 2,184 stocks advancing against 1,298 declines.
